The San Juan De Dios Market in Guadalajara, Mexico is said to be the largest indoor market in Latin America. It’s at 40,000 square meters, which is 9.88 acres. A baseball field is 3 acres.
There’s a ton of items such as candy, jewelry, cell phones, herbs, candles, clothing, bags, blankets, belts, and a food court with tortas ahogadas, pozole, fish dishes, and tacos.
I really enjoy this place because I get to practice my haggling skills. 😉 It does get a little over-whelming with the amount of people, the dim lights, and narrow hallways but the experience has always been fun and I’ve always left with great goods.
